3. I hope my kids belive for many years to come that Santa is still there just like I did. There’s no way on this Earth that someone will tell my kids that there’s no Santa. I would kill the person myself if they did in person.

5. Why waste so much money to tell your kids there’s no Santa? Why don’t you just do what my parents did, wait until your kid is misbehaving around Christmas time, for example I was throwing rocks on top of the house, mom didnt like it so she had our neighbor dress up as Santa and fall and scream in the backyard, then play dead. I never threw rocks again, and I then believed I killed santa. Bad thing is i’m 18 and this was 2 days ago…

16. umm, NO SANTA, you are a grinch. I belived in santa when I was a kid, so yes my parents lied, but I never thought of it as them lying. My ex went all religious on me and took off, it’s my sons first Christmas and he thought that I shouldn’t have Santa because they’ll think that maybe God isn’t real if Santa isn’t…..sick sick…anyways, I am giving you heck because my ex won’t have contact with me because I’m evil and going to hell because I want a Santa for my baby. I gave him a Christmas present from my baby and he gave it back. I’m so hurt….this happened today so I am venting, don’t mind me….

I would have to agree with you n710…when I grew up my parents told me that at one time there was a man named St. Nicolas that would give small gifts to people in his area…not this huge guy who flew with reindeer and gave presents to EVERYONE…I learned the truth and never had to worry about finding out and being dissapointed…christmas has become all about presents and santa…

37. That is kinda of mean. I found out that was no santa because we were poor growing up and my Dad played Santa at a super market and I asked my mom why did Dad act like Santa. Why couldn’t the real Santa do it for free my was honest and told me there is no Santa and that is why we get hardly any presents because we are poor. If somebody wanted to let their kid know there was no Santa why wouldn’t they just pay the 50 cents disguise their voice and do it themself?

45. I will be a father in 3 months, and have been thinking about this issue. There is no way I’ll lie to my children about some consumerism spokesperson. Why not tell your children the truth and maybe give them some culture by educating them about the history of what the holidays are supposed to be about.
