This 11 Year old girl strives to be the most talked about kid on ebay and is willing to go to no avail to get her point across. Her goal is to be a role model and send a message to other kids who may be facing disabilities. The message is everyone shares dreams regardless of their disabilities.

That’s heartwarming to see a little girl trying to make a difference in this world.

I had worse problems then her when I was little and I didn’t go crying about it.
She should get implants if she wants to make a difference in her life lol :-p

I think it is sad that a young child is being exploited/exploiting themselves on ebay.

Muscular dystorphy and MS are two totally different diseases…the listing parent seemed to forget which she had and listed it as one. I.E. *she suffers from muscular dysttophy…* *…remember she has MS….*
Seems to me this is an auction thats looking for money and false pity.

Hmmm, she doesn’t want to draw attention to herself because of her disability, but mom conveniently adds in there that when she wears the tshirt and does the walk, it states (keep in mind she has MS) so it’s ok to exploit her disability to beg on ebay but it’s not ok to ask for scholarships because of her disability? Am I confusing something here? I totally support what this child is doing, and even help children like this, but something seems off to me that the auction states that she does not want to use her disability to get a scholarship, yet she will use her disability to advertise to get money for college. It seems like the same thing to me.

Hello, id like to take a moment to clear a few things up, TO BEGIN WITH I AM IN NO WAY EXPLOITING MY CHILD, I AM VERY PROUD OF WHAT MY DAUGHTER IS TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH, SEVERAL THINGS HAVE BEEN MIS INTERPETED HERE, THE WALK THAT SHE IS DOING STATES SHE WILL WALK FOR ONE MILE (KEEP IN MIND SHE HAS MS) MEANING THE WALK COULD HAVE GONE ON LONGER BUT DUE TO HER CONDITION I HAVE ASKED HER TO KEEP IT AT ONE MILE SO THAT SHE DOES NOT OVER EXERT HERSELF. IT WAS BROUGHT TO MY ATTENTION ABOUT THE MS AND MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY ERROR, THAT WAS AN ERROR ON MY PART, A HUMAN MISTAKE THAT I CORRECTED, I WOULD NEVER EXPLOIT MY CHILD OR GAIN MONEY FROM MY KIDS DISABILITY “IT’S A SICKENING THOUGHT” I AM MORE THEN WILLING TO SHOW PROOF OF CONDITIONS AND ALSO SHOW THAT ANY MONEY EARNED FROM THE AUCTION WILL GO INTO HER SAVINGS FOR COLLEGE. SHE IS MEARLY TRYING TO SET AN EXAMPLE FOR OTHER KIDS WITH DISABILITIES AND I THINK SHE IS DOING A GREAT JOB, IM VERY PROUD OF HER ACCOMPLISHMENTS. THE AUCTION DOES NOT STATE THAT SHE WILL WHERE A SHIRT THATS SAYS, (KEEP IN MIND I HAVE MS) IT SAYS SHE WILL WEAR A SHIRT THAT SAYS “THIS WALK WAS SPONSORED BY ?_______” IT SADDENS ME THAT BECAUSE OF A HUMAN ERROR HER AUCTION IS GOING DOWN THE DRAIN WHEN IN FACT TO ME THIS IS ONE OF THE GREATEST AUCTIONS THAT EBAY HAS EVER HAD, MY 11 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER IS TRYING TO SET AN EXAMPLE HERE FOR OTHER DISABLED KIDS THAT DREAMS CAN BE ACCOMPLISHED NO MATTER THE DISABILITIES.. REGARDLESS OF WHAT OTHERS MAY THINK I WILL CONTINUE TO RUN THIS AUCTION AND STAND BEHIND HER 200%

IT’S NARROW MINDED INDIVIDUALS LIKE YOURSELF WHO OFTEN MISS THE PURPOSE IN LIFE, WHEN YOU HAVE RAISED A CHILD WHO HAS DELT WITH THE THINGS MY DAUGHTER HAS BETWEEN MS AND A VISUAL IMPAIRMENT YOU SEE LIFE WITH A WHOLE NEW MEANING, THE SIMPLEST THINGS IN LIFE GAIN NEW MEANING, I TOOK OFFENCE TO THIS. IF MY DAUGHTER COULD HAVE IMPLANTS SHE WOULD HAVE THEM, IF SHE COULD HAVE MY EYES TO SEE ID GIVE THOSE TO HER AS WELL.. I WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT MY DAUGHTER IN HER EFFORTS REGARDLESS OF ANYONE’S OPINION, SHE IS A BRAVE LITTLE GIRL WHO DESERVES RECOGNITION FOR HER EFFORTS..

“WHEN YOU HAVE RAISED A CHILD WHO HAS DELT WITH THE THINGS MY DAUGHTER HAS BETWEEN MS AND A VISUAL IMPAIRMENT YOU SEE LIFE WITH A WHOLE NEW MEANING”
Once again you just stated she has ms. I’m not trying to pick on you, but which one is it? MS or muscular dystrophy? Good luck with your auction and to your daughter.

If you read my posting I stated she has a mild form of MS.. it’s amazing how things get blown out of context.. for example the lady who commented that I was exploiting my daughters disability saying that she would where a shirt that stated ” keep in mind I have MS” My daughter intentions are very well here and again I will continue to support her 100% and defend her.. It was a human error on my part, not a sympothy kick, not me trying to gain from my daughters disability, or anything else of that nature.. She is trying to set an example for others, I think some people are missing the whole point here, we arent comparing her disabilities to others, or using it to gain anything.. and Thank You for wishing us luck.. We will fight this all the way..:0)

Ok everyone tempers are getting out of control. See if you can make a comment without attacking this child or the mother. If you have questions about the auction then by all means ask them but don’t use this comment board as a tool to post mean spirited comments. I too wish the young lady all the best with her auction. To the mother who supports her daughter in this you are to be commended as well for standing behind your daughter. Why do folks have to be so cruel? Come on lighten up a little. Thanks
